The long answer: not all homes are equal. The old borgo has splendid properties but often needs renovation (systems, damp, wooden roofs), and this must be budgeted for. The area towards the sea, developed in the eighties, has more ready-to-use apartments but less soul. The inland hill offers farmhouses with land at even lower prices but requires a car.
Practical advice: before signing anything, sleep here for at least a week. Walk in the evening, listen to the sound (or silence) of the alley, measure how many minutes it takes to reach the sea on foot.
